Golden Globe nominee Christina Ricci stars as Lizzie Borden, reprising her role from the TV movie "Lizzie Borden Took an Ax." While the 2014 film examines the crimes for which Lizzie was tried, the series is a fictionalized account of the events that took place in her life after her acquittal in the murders of her father and stepmother. In the aftermath of her trial, Lizzie gains celebrity status. But when people close to Lizzie -- including her half brother and business associate -- begin to die under unusual circumstances, detective Charlie Siringo becomes determined to prove that she is involved in their deaths.
